  Kirsten & Joel's Wedding

Kirsten & Joel were married at the Zion Church in Fallbrook. Their reception was a picnic theme...it turned out beautifully! Bright sunflowers adorned the tabletops, and the bride & groom substituted the "traditional" wedding cake for good old fashioned apple pie! Besides being the absolute kindest people on earth, Kirsten & Joel are super good sports for tolerating the heat while taking their portraits. Stan & I would say, "Okay, guys, we're done." But then see a quirky ticket booth and ask them if they would give eachother a kiss behind it. All the while, it's 95 degrees out. Hey, they always say that it hurts to be beautiful! And these two are truly beautiful inside & out. Congrats, guys!

Elizabeth & Scott get hitched on the high seas

Elizabeth & Scott booked us over the phone so we never met them face-to-face until their wedding day. We knew from our phone conversations with Elizabeth that they would be an easy-going couple so we were excited to finally see them in person. They are an incredibly sweet couple. They had a small, intimate wedding aboard a Hornblower yacht. During the ceremony, the space was so limited that Stan was on the floor and I was on the roof. It was quite an experience...nothing like watching a couple in love share their vows with nothing but ocean in the background!

  Photostamps
Lately, my poor email account has been obliterated with junk mail...so much so that i barely check it anymore. I did come across an email from a dear friend with a quirky photo idea --- photostamps! They are totally legitimate, a little overpriced but well worth the "oohs and aaahs" you'll receive when your friends & family get your invites or thank you cards. Check it out! www.photo.stamps.com

  Angel & Jen's E-Session at the beach

Angel & Jennifer's e-session started out at Balboa Park and ended at the beach. One of the most challenging aspects of our job is to find and do different things with our couples when shooting at a location where we've shot previously. Angel & Jen made it quite easy for us since they brought props. We were able to capture some intimate moments of them sharing a glass of champagne. However, there is one pose that we love to do with most of our clients. It's the one where one person is closer to the camera and the other person is in the background. Why? Because all of our couples act very different each time. We never know what reactions we will get! For example, Angel started charging at Jen as though he was a bull & she the matador! It was hilarious! :) Their e-session was definitely a fantastic mix of classic, sexy and humorous images. We can't wait till their wedding in September at the Santa Luz Club. Next to Leo Carrillo Ranch, it is our second favorite place to shoot.

  Vivan & Rudy's Big Day
Vivian & Rudy's wedding took place at All Hallows Church in La Jolla followed by a waterfront reception at the Bali Hai in Shelter Island. We truly admire this couple. They are so incredibly devoted to one another and have such uplifting spirits. We shot their engagement session as well as Vivian's fabulous bridal shower. They were so fun to work with that we couldn't wait till their wedding day. so here are some of our favorites from this wonderful couple.

  Jason & Marie's E-Session Downtown
We love giving our couples celebrity nick names. Everytime we see Jason we can't help thinking about Patrick Dempsey aka Dr. McDreamy on Grey's Anatomy. He reminds me of Patrick Dempsey when he starred in Can't Buy Me Love (a movie that I admit to loving even to this day. ;P). Their e-session was scheduled a lot later than most of our downtown sessions so we were fortunate to find some great shadows during the day. Jason & Marie will be getting married this Saturday at a private residence. We're looking forward to it!

  Oliver & Marie

It was such an honor to photograph Oliver & Marie's wedding. Oliver is my best friend's little brother so I've known him since he was just a toddler. It was very touching to witness him getting married. Their reception took place at Humphrey's By the Bay and boy, was that a party! It actually looked like a concert was going on. We wish Oliver & Marie many years of happiness! Congrats you guys!

Here is the bride & groom doing the electric slide with 400 of their closest friends & family!

  Denise & Paul's Wedding

Denise & Paul's ceremony & dinner took place at Seagrove Park. Dancing followed at the nearby Powerhouse. It was our first time photographing there so needless to say we were very excited to find different areas to shoot. Denise & Paul were so spontaneous & easy to work with. Denise is an avid picture lover so it was so easy for her to open up to the camera. We had an awesome time watching them interact with eachother as well as their friends and family. We wish them many more happy years!

What have we been up to?!?!?
Well, as most of you know, summertime is our busiest time so we have been working non-stop. We apologize to all the couples who we have photographed recently but whose photos haven't made it to our blog. We promise it will be up soon. So keep coming back!

We are also proud to announce that we will be offering some new, mouth-watering products for sale at our studio. No, we're not selling edible prints...just some really cool artsy stuff. Once we receive them, we'll be sure to post photos.

Eddie & Andrea hit the town
We had an absolute blast photographing these two. Three words best describe this couple...HOT, HOT, HOT! Okay, they are also extremely nice, very down-to-earth and so easy to work with. We've never had so many random strangers hoot and holler at our couples as we had with Eddie and Andrea. We can't wait till their wedding in October!
